Moving to a new place mean learning a lot of things. Both aobut the place you come to and also aobut the place you came from. As you dont realise what you have taken for granted until things arn't as they usually are. And you also find how easy you get used to such practical things as microwaveovens and dishwashers.
Anyways:
when me and a friend was going to have a look at her new apartment we thought we could take the lift up. We pressed the button and waited for the lift to come. IT didnt. Then we read the instructions next to the button. Apparently you had to hold in the button until the lift was there. Which we now did and through the glass door we could see the lift coming down. We opened the door and spepped in. The lift i so far had seen all had a roof and walls. this one didnt. It was basicly a platform that went up and down if you held in the button to the floor you wanted to go to. It was really weird holding in the button and see the roof some floors up coming closer and closer and not being able to lean against a wall.
It did teach me not to expect things to be as they usually are, as you never know
